Emil Brockstedt

Emil Brockstedt (born February 18, 1957 in Kiel ) is a German local politician and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He is married and has one child.

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Brockstedt began an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then studied civil engineering in Hanover. After his diploma in 1985, he worked as a freelance researcher at the Technical University of Braunschweig. In 1994 he received his doctorate and from 1996 until his election to the Landtag in 2003 he was a professor for structural engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Hildesheim.

politics

Brockstedt has been a member of the CDU since 1975 . Since 2001 he has been a councilor of the Isernhagen community and was chairman of the CDU council group until January 2008. From 2003 to January 2013 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament. He was directly elected member of the Langenhagen state electoral district .
