Emil Heinrich Meyer

Emil Heinrich Meyer (born May 6, 1886 in Wiesbaden ; † May 9, 1945 in Berlin ) was a German manager and honorary professor at the Berlin School of Management .

Life

Meyer had a doctorate in law and a doctorate in economics . In 1924 he became in-house counsel in the cooperative department of Dresdner Bank . He had been a member of the Board of Management of Dresdner Bank since 1934. Meyer, a cousin of Wilhelm Keppler , became a member of the Keppler Circle in 1932, later the Friends of the Reichsführer SS .

In 1933 Meyer joined the NSDAP ( membership number 2,590,797) and became an SS-Standartenführer (SS membership number 115,983). In 1935 he became an honorary professor for cooperatives at the Berlin Business School and a member of the National Socialist Academy for German Law .

He was one of the directors of AEG as well as Mix & Genest and Standard Elektrik Lorenz , both subsidiaries of the American ITT . These companies made payments to Heinrich Himmler during the Second World War to protect ITT's investments in the Bremen aircraft manufacturer Focke-Wulf .

According to Jan Erik Schulte , Meyer placed “particular importance on keeping the Osti accounts in his house ” in 1943 .

Meyer committed suicide in Berlin on May 9, 1945.
