Emil Köhler (politician)
Emil Rudolf Köhler (* 1832 in Birkenfeld , † 1924 in Herrstein ) was a German local politician and parliamentarian.
Life
Emil Köhler first attended elementary school in Birkenfeld and then the grammar school in Kreuznach . After high school he studied at the Universities of Heidelberg , Bonn and Berlin law . In 1856 he became a member of the Corps Marcomannia Bonn. After graduating, he entered the civil service of the Principality of Birkenfeld . From 1865 to 1886 was mayor of Herrstein and from 1886 to 1906 of Nohfelden / Nahe . He then spent his retirement in Herrstein.
Emil Köhler was a member of the Oldenburg State Parliament from 1866 to 1869, from 1872 to 1875, from 1878 to 1881 and from 1893 to 1996 . In 1900 he was a founding member of the Nohfeld fruit growing and protection association .
