Emil Nikolaisen

Emil Nikolaisen (born February 4, 1977 in Moi ) is a Norwegian musician and music producer .

Life

Emil Nikolaisen comes from a musical family. His father is an organist . His sister Elvira Nikolaisen is a singer-songwriter, his sister Hilma Nikolaisen is a bassist and his brother Ivar Nikolaisen is a musician in a punk band.

Nikolaisen joined the Christian rock band Extol in 1995 as an electric guitarist. In the following year he founded the glam punk rock band Silver with his brother Ivar and other musicians . The multi-instrumentalist Nikolaisen acted as the band's drummer .

For a short time he also worked as a bassist for Selfmindead .

In 1999 he founded the shoegazing rock band Serena Maneesh with his sister Hilma as well as Lina Holmstrøm and Tommy Akerholdt .

From the end of the 1990s he also appeared as a producer and produced albums by Glorybox , Tønes , Maria Solheim , I Was A King , Okkultokrati and A Place to Bury Strangers , among others .

After the release of the album White Diary , Nikolaisen left the band Silver in 2004 .

In 2015 Nikolaisen released the album Runddans in collaboration with Todd Rundgren and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm .
