Emil of Durant

Emil Heinrich Erdmann Freiherr von Durant (born December 16, 1839 in Baranowitz, Rybnik district , † March 29, 1894 in Langendorf ) was a German manor owner and politician.

Life

Emil von Durant was born as the son of the manor owner and district administrator Freiherr Emil von Durant and Charlotte nee Kalinowsky. His older brother Hans von Durant (1837–1907) became a member of the Prussian manor house. After attending grammar school in Ratibor , he studied agriculture at the agricultural college in Poppelsdorf . In 1861 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He became the owner of the Langendorf manor. He was the state elder , district deputy and district committee member of the Tost-Gleiwitz district .

Von Durant was Rittmeister of the Landwehr and a participant in the German War and Franco-German War . He was married to Martha von Raczeck.
