Emilie Mauerer

Emilie Mauerer (born September 9, 1863 in Geroldsgrün near Naila ; † December 17, 1924 in Munich ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bavarian state parliament .

Emilie Mauerer grew up in the Fichtel Mountains . As a nanny she came to Munich, where she completed an apprenticeship as a dressmaker. She founded the workers 'education association and the domestic workers' association in Munich. She was also chairwoman of the social democratic women's association in Munich.

For this she became a member of the Provisional National Council in 1918 . In 1919 she was elected to the Bavarian state parliament for the SPD . She was one of the first eight women to be a member. After the state election in 1920, she left the state parliament.

Emilie Mauerer died on December 17, 1924 in Munich.
