Emilio Barbaroux

Emilio Barbaroux (* 1876 in Trinidad ; † January 26, 1931 in Montevideo ) was a Uruguayan politician and lawyer .

Life

He began his political career as a deputy member of the Río Negro Department and held a seat in the Cámara de Representantes from March 2, 1905 to December 17, 1907 . Later, Barbaroux, who belonged to the Partido Colorado , held the position of Rector of the Universidad de la República from 1916 to 1922 . He was also Foreign Minister of Uruguay from June 17, 1913 to February 13, 1914 .
