Emilio Mora (born March 7, 1978 in Apatzingán , Michoacán ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

career

societies

Mora began his professional career at Monarcas Morelia , for which he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División on November 14, 1996 in the away game against Deportivo Toluca (0-1) . Although Mora was used for the first time shortly before the winter break, he brought it in the same season (1996/97) to a total of 14 first division appearances and was voted the best young player of the year in Mexico .

In the summer of 2000 he moved to the capital club Cruz Azul , whereby he missed the Monarcas championship title won in the 2000 winter tournament - the only one in their club history - and, what was worse for him, never even won the Mexican football championship.

Mora then played for Mexico's most popular club Chivas Guadalajara , the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz and San Luis FC , before ending his active career in the ranks of the Gallos Blancos Querétaro , with whom he was relegated from the top division in the 2006/07 season suffered and then denied some appearances in the second division .

His most successful half-season was the Apertura 2003 , in which he scored a total of eleven goals for the Tiburones Rojos; among other things on October 4, 2003 all three hits for the 3-0 win against his later club Gallos Blancos.

National team

Between 1998 and 2004 Mora played a total of twelve international matches for the Mexican national team . His first two appearances were at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup against Honduras (2-0) and Jamaica (1-0). He scored his only international goal at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2000 against Guatemala (1: 1) and his last appearance for "El Tri" was played by Mora in a friendly on April 28, 2004 against the USA, which was lost 1: 1.
