Emily Bett Rickards (born July 24, 1991 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress , best known for her role as Felicity Smoak in the television series Arrow (2012-2020).

life and career

Emily Bett Rickards grew up on the west coast of Canada . Already in her childhood she appeared in several plays , musicals and dance performances . She also attended the Vancouver Film School.

Rickards had her first acting roles in 2012 in the films Flicka 3 - Best Friends and Random Acts of Romance . In August 2012 she was hired for the role of IT specialist Felicity Smoak in the CW series Arrow . While her character was still part of the supporting cast in the first season, she was expanded to a leading role in the second season. In between, she also starred in the series Soldiers of the Apocalypse and in the television film Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story .
