Emin Araz oğlu Ağalarov (born December 12, 1979 in Baku , Azerbaijani SSR , Soviet Union , today Azerbaijan ) is a Russian-Azerbaijani singer and composer . Emin enjoyed an international education; u. a. he went to school in Switzerland and studied in the USA (New York).

He celebrates great success both as a jazz and pop singer and became famous in Azerbaijan as well as in Russia, primarily through his singles Still and Don't Cry . In 2010 he released his album Wonder in the UK. His titles Obvious , Falling , Just For One Night and Any Time You Fall became hits. Emin Ağalarov is the first Eastern European artist whose album was featured on BBC Radio 2 as Record of the Week . With the title Boomerang , Emin attracted great international attention in 2015 through the collaboration with Nile Rodgers . “Boomerang” was on the playlist on BBC Radio 2 (Europe's largest radio station) and made it to the top 40 on the UK's Music Week's charts. The remix of “Boomerang” even hit # 9 on Billboard's dance charts.

The album Nachistoty was named the best album of 2015 by the Russian music channel MUZ TV. His album FALLING 8 was released in Russian only at the end of 2015 and a few days later it was # 3 in album sales on ITunes. The "Sexiest man in Russia" (ZD Awards 2015) received numerous national and international awards, including the 2014 World Music Award .

With his song Never Enough from the album After the Thunder he appeared as a show act at the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. In February 2014 he was seen on German television as part of the third episode of Schulz in the Box . Emin's TV presence includes BBC Breakfast, Extra, ITV's Daybreak, Fox, Entertainment Tonight, Pro 7, The Today Show, E !. International print media also reported on him, including The Sunday Times, The Sun, Bild, Wall Street Journal, The Independent, GQ, Esquire, OK !, Forbes Austria.

Emin was married to Leyla Əliyeva , one of the two daughters of the President of Azerbaijan, İlham Əliyev . He is Vice President of the Crocus Group founded by his father Aras Agalarov and focuses in particular on the development and marketing of Crocus City in Moscow.
