Emiotungan (also: Emiotouan , Meltungon ) is a place on the island of Ambrym in the province of Malampa in the island state of Vanuatu .
geography
The place is located in the southwest part of the island of Ambrym. The name "Emiotouan" means "House of Struggle" in the local Dakaka language . There is an important nasara , a cult site for religious ceremonies. There is also a Presbyterian church, an Anglophone elementary school that is run together with the coastal village of Baiap , and two guest houses for visitors. Craig Cove airfield can be reached via easy forest trails and there is also access to the island's caldera with its two active volcanoes , Mt. Benbow and Mt. Marum .
