The Malampa Province is an island region in the South Pacific island state of Vanuatu . It is located south of the provinces of Sanma and Penama , which also belong to Vanuatu , and north of Shefa .
As with all (of the total of six) provinces of Vanuatu, the name Malampa is derived from the names of the main islands or groups of islands in the region, here from Mal akula , Am brym and Pa ama .
To Malampa include several smaller islands, including the front of its south and north east coast of Malakula islands Uripiv , Norsup , Rano , Walo , Atchin and Vao and the volcanic island Lopevi , the east of Paama.
