The province of Penama is an island region of the South Pacific island state of Vanuatu . It is located south of the provinces of Torba , which also belong to Vanuatu , east of Sanma and north of Malampa .
As with all (of the six) provinces of Vanuatu also the name is derived Penama of the name of the main islands or groups of islands located in the region, here of Pen tecost , A MBAE and Ma ewo decreases.
The province has around 26,500 inhabitants, with a land area of 1198 km². The provincial capital Saratamata lies in the east of Ambae.
