Emira Abbes (born September 6, 1996 in Füssen ) is a German curler . She is currently playing third in Daniela Jentsch's team .

Career

Abbes started curling in 2009. Internationally, she played for the first time at the European Junior Curling Challenge 2014 as a substitute for the German team. The following year she led the German junior team in this competition as a skip and came in fifth. At the B World Junior Championship in 2016, she played third. In 2017 she took part in the team of the General German University Sports Association at the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty .

Since 2017 she has been playing in the German national team around Skip Daniela Jentsch, initially as a substitute player at the 2017 World Cup , the 2017 European Championship and the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Winter Olympics . In 2018 she replaced the third and vice-skip. While she had to be content with 12th and penultimate place at the 2018 World Cup , she won the bronze medal at the 2018 European Championship in Tallinn by winning the game for third place against Russia (skip: Alina Kowaljowa ).
