Daniela Jentsch (real name Daniela Driendl , born January 15, 1982 ) is a German curling player. She skipped the German women's curling team several times and plays for CC Füssen .

Career

Jentsch won two gold medals with the German juniors (2001 and 2002). In 2000 she took part in the world championship in Petra Tschetsch's team (as third ) and achieved a 6th place.

In 2002 and 2004 she played as a skip for the German team at the European Championships and achieved a respectable 7th and 9th place respectively. In 2015 Daniela Jentsch played again for the German women's team at the World Cup in Japan . The team was ranked ninth More World Cup participations, each as Skip the German team, followed in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In this role, she led the German team even at the European Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Also in the European Championship 2018 in Tallinn played them as skip of the German team (third: Emira Abbes , second: Analena Jentsch , lead: Klara-Hermine Fomm , alternate: Lena Kapp ). After the round robin she was in fourth place. In the semifinals, the Germans lost to the Swiss team around Skip Silvana Tirinzoni . In the game for third place, Jentsch led her team to victory over Russia (Skip: Alina Kowaljowa ) and won her first medal.

At the 2017 Olympic qualification tournament in Pilsen, she and her team missed participation in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games by finishing sixth .

Private life

Daniela Jentsch comes from a curler family. Her father Roland Jentsch in 1991 as skip of the German team European champion and her mother Christiane Jentsch is Olympic champion in 1992 and European champion in 1991 . Her sister Analena Jentsch plays on the same team as her. Jentsch is a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr . In 2008, she settled for her dream, the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , photographed nude.
