European Curling Championship 1991

Venue: Chamonix

The 1991 European Curling Championships for men and women took place from December 8th to 14th in Chamonix , France . 1991 they returned to the mode with round robin and play-off. In addition, the field of participants was divided into two performance classes, in group A they played for the title, the team in last place was relegated to group B for the following year, the second from last played a barrage against the second in group B for membership in of group A. The winner of group B was promoted directly to group A. The tournament also served to qualify for the 1992 Curling World Championship , the first 5 teams in Group A and the winner of Group B were qualified directly, the winner of the Barrage got the last free starting place.
