Stephanie Mayr (born January 21, 1965 ) is a German curler and Olympic champion .

Mayr made her international debut at the 1986 European Junior Championships in Hamburg , but she remained without a medal. In the same year she won her first precious metal with the silver medal at the World Championships in Kelowna .

Mayr played as the third of the German team in the XVI. 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville in curling. The team of Andrea Schoepp won the Olympic gold medal after a 9: 3 victory in the final against Norway to skip Dordi Nordby . For this she and her team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on June 23, 1993. Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medal has no official status.

In the 2014 municipal elections in Munich , Mayr was one of the city council candidates for the HUT group of voters .
