Coordinates: 25 ° 4 ′  N , 55 ° 10 ′  E Emirates Hills ( Arabic تلال الإمارات, DMG Tilāl al-Imārāt ) is a new district of Dubai , United Arab Emirates . It is located in the Jumeirah district, southeast of Dubai Marina and the towers of the Jumeirah Lake Towers . To the west are the mansions of the artificially created Jumeirah Islands . The facility was divided into four quarters: The Lakes, The Meadows, The Springs and The Greens, each of which houses around 8,000 people. Emirates Hills was opened for development in 2003.

On an area of 12.3 square kilometers of a former desert area, long, curved building areas were designed for Emirates Hills, as well as a total of 20 curved water surfaces and smaller interspersed lakes with hilly, open green spaces and the central golf course "Montgomerie". The project developer and provider, Emaar Properties , has pursued the idea of not structuring some plots of land, as is usually the case in Dubai, and building them up themselves, but rather leaving it to the buyers to choose the location, size, layout and development of their plot to choose and design. In the outskirts of the district, the usual smaller parcelling with compact development was used. A typical building plot, on the other hand, measures approx. 100 × 40 m.

The name of the urbanization was deliberately chosen with reference to the millionaire district Beverly Hills in Los Angeles . Emirates Hills is considered one of the best addresses in Dubai. The freely buildable area of approx. 2 square kilometers with a lakeshore has attracted many wealthy buyers. Among the celebrities living here you can find z. B. also the family of the murdered Pakistani politician Benazir Bhutto .
