Emma Madsen

Emma Madsen (born November 18, 1988 ) is a Danish soccer player . The striker took part in the 2013 European Championship with the Danish national team.

Athletic career

Madsen began playing football at Skovlunde IF , where she also took her first steps in adulthood. At the beginning of 2009 she joined Brøndby IF . With the club, she won the double from the Danish championship in the 3F leagues and national cups three times in a row from 2011 to 2013 .

After Madsen had already been a junior national player, she made her debut in 2011 in the Danish national team. National coach Kenneth Heiner-Møller appointed her shortly before the start of the tournament to replace Sanne Troelsgaard Nielsen in the squad for the 2013 European Championship. There she made two short appearances as a substitute after being eliminated in the semifinals against Norway after a penalty shoot-out .
