Emma de Caunes (born September 9, 1976 in Paris ) is a French actress .

Life

De Caunes was born to Gaëlle Royer ( documentary film director and graphic designer ) and Antoine de Caunes ( director and screenwriter ). She got her first film role when she was ten, thanks to her godmother Michèle Reiser . After filming numerous commercials , she made the film Un frère , which helped her to gain national fame and thus the breakthrough in her acting career.

In 2002 de Caunes received the Romy Schneider Prize for her achievements. Since then she has appeared in the theater , making commercials and short films .

De Caunes was married to the singer Sinclair (Mathieu Blanc-Francard) from 2001 to 2005 , with whom they have a daughter, who was born in October 2002. In September 2011 she married the British comic book artist and illustrator Jamie Hewlett .

De Caunes is known to many music fans as the "friend" of the singer Thom Yorke from the band Radiohead in the video for the single Knives Out (2001).
