Emmanuel Besnier

Emmanuel Besnier (born September 18, 1970 in Le Mans ) is a French entrepreneur , main shareholder and President-directeur général of the French milk processing group Lactalis .

Life

After attending Catholic private schools in Laval, Emmanuel Besniers graduated from the Institut supérieur de gestion in Paris. After the sudden death of his father Michel Besnier, who had already made the company the market leader in France, in 2000 he took over the chairmanship of the company at the age of 30. The company has been family-owned since it was founded, with Emmanuel Besnier holding 51% of the shares in the parent company BSA International SA. His sister Marie and his brother Jean-Michel are silent partners, but are involved in decisions.

Emmanuel Besnier is married and has three children. According to the US Forbes Magazine , he is one of the richest French.
