Emmerborn is a village in the Holzminden district in Lower Saxony, which was incorporated into Wangelnstedt on January 1, 1973 . It is on the Holzberg .

The modern establishment of the place took place in 1539 under Heinrich II. According to Letzner , the place already existed in the same place in the Middle Ages, but was destroyed in a feud between the noble lords of Homburg and the lords of Luthardessen and then lay desolate for more than a century.

While it was part of the Duchy of Braunschweig , it was administered from the Wickensen office.

The coat of arms is blue. It shows a draw well with a golden bucket. Since the place was built away from running waters, it was dependent on well water.
