Emmerich Müller

Emmerich Müller (born August 13, 1956 in Wiesbaden ) is a German banker .

Life

After graduating from high school and completing the Bundeswehr in 1977, Emmerich Müller began legal training at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau , which he completed in 1985 with the second state examination in law. After initial professional experience in tax consulting at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Frankfurt am Main, he was employed by BHF-Bank in Frankfurt am Main in 1987 in asset structure consulting . In 1991 Müller moved to the management of BHF-Bank AG in Zurich. He returned to the Frankfurt headquarters in 1995 as a member of the Private Banking division.

Müller has been a member of Bankhaus Metzler's partner group since 2000 and one of the personally liable partners since 2005 . There he is responsible for the private banking business area as well as for auditing, accounting and taxes, corporate law and credit risk management.

Emmerich Müller is a board member of the Hessian Banking Association and headed the association from 2013 to 2016 as chairman and member of the board of the Federal Association of German Banks .

Müller is a member of the board of trustees of the Metzler Foundation , the Family Business Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research . He lives in Frankfurt am Main .
