The Endgames are a British band whose hit hit Waiting For Another Chance is still frequently played by radio stations today. Beyond that, the band has not been able to land another chart hit to this day and is therefore a classic " one-hit wonder ".

Band history

In 1980 the Endgames were founded in Glasgow by school friends David Rudden, Paul Wishart and David Murdoch . David Rudden has not only been a singer, but also the head and mastermind of the band. In 1982 the trio became a sextet, completed by the drummer Brian McGee from Simple Minds .

The debut album Building Beauty was released in 1983 , the first single from it was Waiting For Another Chance , which was a success in Germany (21st place in September 1983, 15 weeks in the charts), but received no attention in England or America. The musicians go on tour in Germany with the Eurythmics and record the follow-up album Natural in 1985 , which becomes a commercial flop.
