Endre Varga (born April 6, 1977 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football player . He is a striker, but can also play in the offensive or central midfield and is considered an offensive all-rounder. Varga has been under contract with the Hungarian second division club BKV Előre SC since 2008 and previously played for a total of eight years at various German clubs.
Career
Varga began his career in 1985 in the youth team at Ferencváros Budapest and in 1991 moved to the youth department of Győri ETO FC , where he made the leap to the professional team in 1996. He then played with various clubs in the Nemzeti Bajnokság, the first Hungarian league; most recently in the 1999/2000 season for Pécsi MFC , where he was voted best player of the season as a central midfielder. After a move to the German second division club Alemannia Aachen failed in 2000 , he joined the league competitor Chemnitzer FC , which he left free of charge after relegation to the Regionalliga Nord and joined the upper division TSV Stahl Riesa . When the latter had to file for bankruptcy due to insolvency, he switched to league rivals Concordia Ihrhove . After a failed move to the amateurs of FC Schalke 04 , he was signed by SV Meppen , where Varga stayed for four years. After a total of eight years in Germany, he returned to Hungary in 2008 and first played for his youth club Ferencváros Budapest and since October 2008 for the second division club BKV Előre SC . He also works as a sporting goods broker for the sporting goods company Dragonsport .
