Endymion is an impact crater on the northeastern edge of the moon's front . To the east is the Mare Humboldtianum . It is located east of the Mare Frigoris . The rim of the crater shows terracing. The crater floor is level.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the shepherd boy Endymion from Greek mythology.
