Klaus Höllrigl (born January 31, 1980 ) is a former an Italian biathlete .

Klaus Höllrigl lives in Goldrain . The former sports soldier started for CS Carabinieri and was trained by Manuel Ilmer, Moreno Montello and Alexander Inderst . He made his international debut at the 1999 World Junior Championships in Pokljuka , where he was 35th in the individual, 29th in the sprint and 25th in the pursuit. A year later in Hochfilzen he was 33rd in the sprint, 43rd in the pursuit and with Christian De Lorenzi , Gianni Boninsegna and Yuri Bradanini eleventh in the relay race.

Since the 2000/01 season Höllrigl started with the men in the European Cup . He often reached the points, the best result was a third place in a sprint race in Forni Avoltri behind Tor Halvor Bjørnstad and Iwan Pesterew in the 2002/03 season . The first international championships were the 2002 European championships in Kontiolahti , where the South Tyrolean was 40th of the individual. A year later Höllrigl was in Forni Avoltri 21st of the sprint, 41st of the pursuit and with Paolo Longo , Devis Da Canal and Sergio Bonaldi 12th as the final runner of the relay race. This was followed by the first participation in the 2003 World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk , where Höllrigl was 71st in the sprint race. In 2004 he was 79th of the individual in Oberhof . This was followed by the third and final participation in the European Championships . In 2004 he was 42nd in the individual race in Minsk , 29th in the sprint, 23rd in the pursuit and with Patrick Favre , Markus Windisch and Simone Jeantet seventh in the relay race. At the beginning of the 2004/05 season , Höllrigl made his debut in the World Cup in Beitostølen and reached an 83rd place in his first sprint. A little later he reached his best result in the highest racing series as 62nd in an individual at Holmenkollen in Oslo . The South Tyrolean contested his last World Cup race in 2006 in Hochfilzen . After the 2006/07 season he ended his career. Höllrigl won the national pursuit title in 2004 and was third in the relay. Today he works as a trainer in Liechtenstein and South Tyrol.

Since 2018 he has been working with Nicola Pozzi under head coach Andreas Zingerle as the coach of the Italian A-team in biathlon.
