Ivan Pesterew (born July 27, 1975 in Izhevsk , Soviet Union ) is a former Belarusian biathlete .

Ivan Pesterew lives in Tolochin and trained in Vitebsk . He was active for the Minsk Army Sports Club. The Spödat began in 1987 with the sport of biathlon. In 1996 he made his debut in the biathlon world cup at races in Osrblie . In the individual he was 83rd, in the sprint 86th. It took a year until he was used again in Oberhof and with the ranks 42, his placements roughly halved. By 2001 he made more than 30 appearances in the World Cup without ever winning any points. But he was second in the relay race in 1998 in Osrblie with Oleksij Ajdarow , Vadim Saschurin and Oleg Ryschenkow . At the 1998 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk , he won the bronze medal with Igor Pesterew , Alexander Iwanowski and Dimitri Schichow behind the relay teams from Germany and Norway. In 2000 the Belarusian in Kościelisko was 34th in the individual, 31st in the sprint and 25th in the pursuit. With Sjarhej Nowikau , Sjarhej Sakalouski and Rustam Waliullin , he also came in sixth in the relay race. A year later , Pesterew was used in all four races in Haute-Maurienne . The 2004 World Championships in Osrblie brought Aljaksandr Syman , Waliullin and Uszinau to win the second world title in the relay race. He also finished 14th in the sprint, eighth in the pursuit and eleventh in the mass start in the last races of his career.
