Energie 360 ° AG , based in Zurich, is a Swiss company that offers energy and mobility solutions across the country. Energie 360 ° AG has its origins in gas supply Zurich . As a municipal operation, this was part of the city administration . In November 1997 the city of Zurich voted to spin off the Zurich gas supply into a stock corporation . From 1998 to 2014 this stock corporation operated under the name Erdgas Zürich AG . On April 24, 2014 the name was changed to Energie 360 ° AG. The main shareholder is the city of Zurich with a stake of 96.04 percent. The remaining 3.96 percent are distributed among Erdgas Regio AG and 18 political communities. Energie 360 ° bundles its products and services today in the four business areas of energy, solutions, grid and mobility. In the youngest business area Mobility, founded in autumn 2018, Energie offers 360 ° charging solutions for electric vehicles.

Energie 360 ° is involved in various companies: Energie 360 ° Schweiz AG supplies customers throughout Switzerland with gas and takes over energy logistics for industrial customers. Energie 360 ° also holds the majority of shares in Erdgas Zürich Transport AG , to which it hived off the transport network in October 2006, with a 56 percent stake .
