Engelbert Aigner
Engelbert Aigner (born February 3, 1798 in Vienna , † August 27, 1866 in Vienna ) was an Austrian composer.
life and work
Aigner was a student of Abbot Stadler . Until 1837 he was ballet conductor of the court opera .
Aigner was particularly valued as a church composer. He wrote masses, including a four-part canonical mass a cappella, a requiem and motets. In addition to church music, he also wrote operas, operettas, ballets and cantatas.
