The Engelhardt Lake is a 339 km² large subglacial lake at the Gould Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands . It lies under the Whillans Ice Stream .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2019 based on the naming of the neighboring Engelhardt Ice Ridge . Its namesake is the US geophysicist Hermann Engelhardt from the California Institute of Technology , who was involved in four campaigns between 1991 and 1996 in drilling projects of the United States Antarctic Program in the Whillans and Kamb Ice Streams .
