Engelsina Sergejewna Tscheschkowa
Angel Sina Sergejewna Tscheschkowa ( Russian Энгельсина Сергеевна Чешкова , born Markisowa ( Маркизова ); * 16th November 1928 in Wechneudinsk , Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic ; † 11. May 2004 in Antalya , Turkey ) was a Soviet or Russian historian and orientalist .
A photo that she showed in 1936 when a bouquet was handed over to Josef Stalin was printed millions of times and used for propaganda purposes in the Soviet Union . A sculptor created a corresponding statue he "Thank you, Comrade Stalin, for our happy childhood!" Called.
Engelsina's father, the People's Commissar for Agriculture of the Buryat Soviet Republic, Ardan Markisow (Ардан Ангадыкович Маркизов), was a victim of the Stalin Purges the following year , whereupon her family name and patronymic were changed.
