The Engstligen Falls (Bern German Entschligefäll ) south of Adelboden in the Bernese Oberland are among the highest waterfalls in Switzerland and are included in the federal inventory of landscapes and natural monuments of national importance .

The numerous mountain streams of Engstligenalp gather at their northern exit and plunge in two steps of 370 meters in total over a valley step into the Engstligen valley , where they form the Engstlige . The Engstligen Falls are among the waterfalls with the greatest abundance of water in the Alps and, with around 250,000 visits every year, they are among the most visited waterfalls in Switzerland after the Rhine Falls .

The upper fall can be seen partially from the cable car and completely from the mule track that leads through the rock face. The lower fall is accessible from the lower cable car station on a comfortable mountain path.

In early summer there is a particularly spectacular alpine lift on the mule track with more than 400 cows and cattle.

Since 2008 there has been a via ferrata on the west side of the lower Engstligenfall . In winter, the waterfall is a destination for ice climbers .
