The Enics AG , based in Zurich is an internationally active Swiss company in the field of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) for industrial electronics and medical technology for original equipment manufacturers . Enics emerged in 2004 from a management buy-out from the industrial electronics division of Elcoteq in Finland . The company's roots lie in the electronics production of ABB in Switzerland, of ABB and Flextronics in Sweden and in Elcoteq in Finland. Enics currently employs around 3,200 people and generated sales of 501 million euros in 2016.
Field of activity
The company provides services in the development, manufacture and support of industrial electronics and medical technology (life cycle management). It has eight plants in Beijing and Suzhou (China), Elva (Estonia), Lohja and Raahe (Finland), Västerås (Sweden), Turgi (Switzerland), Nova Dubnica (Slovakia). Administration is spread across the locations in Zurich (headquarters), Vantaa (engineering office, Finland) and Hong Kong (sourcing office).
Enics Switzerland
In addition to its headquarters, which was relocated from Baden to Zurich in 2009 , the group of companies in Switzerland has another location in Turgi with its subsidiary Enics Schweiz AG , which employs around 140 people. Enics Switzerland provides EMS services in the product life cycle of industrial and medical electronics for customers in Central and Central Europe. The Swiss subsidiary processes 1,800 active products per year and produces 200 prototypes per year. The batch sizes are on average 55 pieces, over 8150 products are ready for service. Enics Switzerland serves as a single point of contact to the global Enics network.
