Enio Jose Mendes da Encarnacao (born January 9, 1985 in Madeira ) is a former Portuguese table tennis player . He is right-handed and uses the European shakehand stick position as a handle . In 2011 he and the team won a bronze medal at the European Championship .

Mendes also played for German clubs. In 2001 he moved from the Portuguese club Grupo Estreito (Portugal) to the 2nd German Bundesliga at Würzburger Hofbräu 96 . In the 2004/05 season he played at TTC Eilenburg (2nd BL South).
