Müller Würzburger Hofbräu

The Müller Würzburger Hofbräu e. V. was a German table tennis club from Würzburg that played in the first division . It was named TTK Würzburger Hofbräu e. V. founded on March 5, 1996 as the successor to the table tennis department of FC Würzburger Kickers eV , which was dissolved . The club celebrated its greatest success by winning the German championship in the 2004/05 season ( Petr Korbel , Leung Chu Yan , Feng Zhe, Evgueni Chtchetinine , coaching team: Tibor Rozsnyoi, Matthias Landfried , Peter Aranyosi) Playoff semi-finals, entry into the DTTB Cup final, the European Cup final twice and for the 2007 season the team qualified for the Champions League . One of the club's greatest successes was its entry into the quarter-finals of the 2007/2008 Champions League, which made the club one of the eight strongest teams in Europe.

In April 2008 Würzburg withdrew from the Bundesliga and cooperated with the TTC Frickenhausen to form the new club TTC Müller Frickenhausen / Würzburg . The popular sports area merged with the TTC Kist club and started as TTC Kist / Würzburg in the 2008/09 season in the regional league.

Youth work

For its youth work, the club was awarded the Green Ribbon for exemplary promotion of talent in the club and a bonus of 10,000 DM at the end of 2001.
