The Enipeas ( Greek Ενιπέας , ancient Greek Ἐνίπευς Enipeus , other neogr. Names Tsanarlis Τσαναρλής, Filiadorema Φιλιαδόρεμα and Neochoritikos Νεοχωρίτικος) is a 84 km long river in the Greek region of Thessaly . It is a right tributary of the 217 km long Pinios .
The source of the Enipeas is in the northern part of Fthiotida , north of Lamia . From there it flows in a north-westerly direction and flows into the Pinios at Farkadona .
In Greek mythology, Enipeus was personified as the river god Enipeus . At the Battle of Pharsalus , the Enipeus delimited the battlefield of Gaius Iulius Caesar and Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus .
