Enrico Cavallaro

Enrico Cavallaro (born August 9, 1858 in Palermo , † 1895 in Palermo) was an Italian painter in Sicily .

Life

Cavallaro was trained by his father, the theater painter Giuseppe Cavallaro (* 1832 ) who worked at the Teatro Massimo . Then he was a student of Giovanni Lentini the elder. He mostly worked with his son Rocco Lentini (1858–1943).

He worked mainly in Palermo as a book illustrator and decorative painter in aristocratic palaces and public buildings.

One of his students was Giuseppe Enea (1853-1907).

As a teacher at the School of Applied Arts in Palermo, he published the textbook "Corso di Disegno ornamentale".
