Enrico Rosati
Enrico Rosati (born June 9, 1874 in Rome , † October 1963 in New York City ) was an Italian singing teacher.
Rosati was a famous bel canto teacher. At the Accademia di Santa Cecilia he taught, among others, Beniamino Gigli and Giacomo Lauri-Volpi . He later went to the USA and was a teacher in New York for Frances James , Karin Branzell , George London and Mario Lanza, among others . In 1946 he taught the latter for several months in preparation for a performance of Verdi's Requiem under Arturo Toscanini , in which Lanza ultimately did not participate.
