The Duck Lake ( English ) is a lake on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . On the Lewin Peninsula, it lies in a valley that extends from Duck Bay in a north-westerly direction.

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 based on the name of the duck bay. This got its name from the German zoologist and doctor August Emil Alfred Szielasko (1864–1928), who mapped this area during a visit to South Georgia in 1906. It is probably named after the breeding endemic subspecies of the pointed-tailed duck ( English South Georgia pintail , Latin Anas georgica georgica ).
