The EnviTec Biogas AG is a company that biogas plants plans, builds and operates. EnviTec is the world market leader in technologies for efficient biogas generation. EnviTec also offers biogas services.
history
The company was founded in 2002. The following year it built the first biogas plant. It received its first order from abroad in 2005. In that year, the subsidiaries EnviTec South East Europe and EnviTec Italia were founded. EnviTec Central Europe was founded in 2006 . Furthermore, EnviTec Biogas (India) Private Limited with a 50 percent stake from Malavi Power Plant Ltd. founded in Bangalore . In 2007, EnviTec Biogas UK and EnviTec Nederland were founded. At the end of 2011, the portfolio was expanded to include the direct marketing of electricity and heat supply from decentralized CHP units. The company is currently managed by Olaf von Lehmden.
Business activity
In addition to Germany, the company is represented in 15 countries around the world. Up until December 2018, EnviTec biogas plants with a nominal output of 435 megawatts were in operation, the self-operated plants had a capacity of around 63.5 megawatts. The EnviTec Group has 427 employees (December 2018). In 2018, EnviTec Biogas achieved sales of 186.8 million euros (foreign sales: 52.3 million euros) and an operating result (EBIT) of 10.1 million euros.

On July 12, 2007 the company was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the Prime Standard . The issue price was 47 euros, previously a price range of 42 to 52 euros had been set, the initial listing was 50.50 euros. The greenshoe with a volume of 673,000 shares was fully exercised. After the IPO , 32.8% of the shares were held by von Lehmden Beteiligungs GmbH , 21.9% by TS Holding GmbH and 10.9% by Ruhe Verwaltungs GmbH . On September 24, 2007 the share was included in the ÖkoDAX . It is also listed in the Lower Saxony stock index Nisax20 .
On August 29, 2013, the company switched to the Entry Standard , which meant that there was no requirement for admission to the ÖkoDAX. The listing in the Entry Standard ended on March 1, 2017 with its dissolution.
Major shareholders are 37.60% of Lehmden Beteiligungs GmbH and TS Holding GmbH 25.90%. Around 36.5% are in free float .
