NISAX20
The NISAX20 is a regional share index that was launched on May 15, 2002 by the Norddeutsche Landesbank based on the model of the Bayx-30 regional index and is calculated by Deutsche Börse . It shows the price development of the 20 most important listed companies in the state of Lower Saxony .

The NISAX20 is a price index. The initial value was set to 1,000 on the start date on May 15, 2002. Each company initially received a share of 5 percent in the index. During Xetra trading hours from currently 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the NISAX20 is calculated and distributed by Deutsche Börse every minute. The largest companies in Lower Saxony in terms of market capitalization are included in the index . The regular review of the index composition takes place every quarter. In exceptional cases, such as a merger or takeover of a company, the index composition can also be checked at different dates.
The most important companies in the index are Volkswagen AG , the travel company TUI (formerly Preussag), Continental AG (tires, automotive supplier ), the steel and tube manufacturer Salzgitter AG , the fragrance and flavoring manufacturer Symrise and the insurance companies Talanx and Hannover Re . So that individual companies do not dominate the index too much, the share is limited to 15 percent each. Without this measure, Volkswagen alone would have a disproportionate impact.
