Enzo Decaro (sometimes Enzo De Caro , actually Vincenzo Purcaro Decaro , born March 24, 1958 in Portici ) is an Italian actor and film director .

Life

After graduating in literary studies from the University of Naples, Decaro was part of the comedian trio “La Smorfia”, where he was assigned the role of handsome and at the right moment mediator alongside Massimo Troisi and Lello Arena . After great success in the Naples region in the 1970s, they were awarded contracts for Italian television.

In 1981 Decaro made his first film as a director. In Prima che sia troppo presto , which he wrote, he also played the leading role and wrote the music. The film was awarded a David di Donatello . This was followed in 1987 by Io, Peter Pan and the beginning of a long list of roles in film and (since the new millennium exclusively) in television, which with Provaci anche prof! from 2005 to 2008 also included a television series of 18 episodes. In 1990 Decaro directed a third film, Ladro di futuro .
