Epiphane Denis
Epiphane Denis (born December 17, 1823 in Liège ; † February 18, 1891 ibid) was a Belgian landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Denis, brother of the portrait painter Louis Denis (1821–1843), attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 1841/1842 . There he was a student in Johann Wilhelm Schirmer's landscape class . Denis mainly painted landscape motifs from the Rhine Province , Luxembourg and the Ardennes .
