The epitaph for Philipp Friedrich von Geismar is a wall epitaph at the Hospital Church in Stuttgart. The outer epitaph is dedicated to the Württemberg Council, Hofmeister and Obervogt zu Marbach am Neckar Philipp Friedrich von Geismar (1646–1701). The epitaph consists of a partially heavily weathered inscription board with an ornamental border.

The wall epitaph is attached to the former south wall of the nave of the Hospital Church to the right of the Reformation monument . It consists of an inscription panel, which is framed by inscription, a border with floral tendrils and 4 coats of arms at the corners. The coat of arms with a jumping deer is the coat of arms of the Geismar family. The inscription and the legend are partly badly weathered. The deciphered fragments of the inscription reveal the names, offices, year and place of birth of the deceased:

Philipp Friedrich von Geismar

Philipp Friedrich von Geismar (1646–1701) was born in Bad Homburg in front of the height as the son of chamber councilor Eitel Wilhelm von Geismar (1614–1679). His father had been in the service of the Landgraves of Hesse-Homburg and Hesse-Darmstadt since 1649 and since 1671 at the latest as Chief Chamberlain. Geismar studied from June 1, 1666 at the University of Gießen and in 1669 became court master of the sons of Duke Philipp Ludwig of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Wiesenburg at Schloss Wiesenburg near Zwickau and at the Knight's Academy of the Collegium Illustrious in Tübingen.

After the death of Duke Wilhelm Ludwig von Württemberg in 1677, he worked as councilor and court master of the Dowager Duchess Magdalena Sibylla von Württemberg in Kirchheim unter Teck . After the death of Duke Friedrich Karl von Württemberg-Winnental in 1698, he worked from 1699 as councilor and court master of the Dowager Duchess Eleonore Juliane von Württemberg .

Philipp Friedrich von Geismar died in 1701 at the age of 55. He was married to Eva Sophie von Phul, who was born in Halle in 1662 , and who died in Nürtingen in 1731 at the age of almost 69 .
