ε Draconis ( Epsilon Draconis ) is a star of the spectral class K0 and has an apparent magnitude of 3.8 mag. It is about 146 light years away ( Hipparcos database). ε Draconis is a double star that can be resolved in telescopes from a lens opening of approx. 10 centimeters . The companion, which is only 7.3 mag bright, is located at an angular distance of 3.2 "at a position angle of 21 degrees. It is of the spectral type K5.

The star bears the historical proper name Tyl and Kin Yu ( Chinese for "goldfish").
