Life

He was named after his godfather to the captain Erasmus Zettel . His grandfather was the master tailor and councilor Lorenz Pecher (* around 1545). He was a member of an old, widely ramified family that was documented in Neudek as early as the 15th century. Pecher, who learned the bakery trade, received the title of court baker in 1627 and thus supplied the stately castle . At the time of the Counter Reformation , when rule and thus also the denomination changed in Neudek, he adopted the Catholic religion. From 1646 he held the office of city judge in his hometown and from 1652 to 1658 that of mayor. In 1659 he was finally appointed mountain master, which function he held until his death in 1669.
