Erbacher Hof (Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hofreite in today's Heerstraße 15 in Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt was called the Erbacher Hof in the vernacular .

In the Middle Ages, the farm belonged to the Eberbach monastery in the Rheingau , not far from Erbach . It was the collection and administration center for the surrounding lands of the monastery and around 1500 cultivated 109½ acres of arable land and 3 acres of vineyards.

Due to the economic recession , the Nordenstadter Hof was sold in 1556 to the bailiff of the Eppstein lordship , Mr. Koch, known as "Pfeffer".
