Heirs of Creation is a Liechtenstein symphonic metal band that uses stylistic devices from electro and metal .
Band history
Since Oliver Falk was looking for a second outlet for his compositions in addition to his band WeltenBrand , the idea of “Heirs of Creation” as a Gothic / EBM project developed over time. In 1998/99 there were agreements with Thomas Rainer from L'Âme Immortelle . However, he was unable to participate due to lack of time. So Falk decided to run his side project alone until Sabine Dünser joined as a singer. While working on the debut album Twilight , Pete Streit, who was supposed to have only a brief appearance at first, was hired as a guitarist.
In 2001 the single Elis was released (the text for it comes from a poem by Georg Trakl ) and shortly afterwards the debut album Twilight on MOS Records , the label on which WeltenBrand also released. This was followed by appearances, including at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig . Jürgen Broger, Tom Saxer and Franky Koller, who were initially intended as live support, soon became part of the permanent line-up of Heirs of Creation.
But there were some disputes within the band, which they tried to settle in court. On the advice of a lawyer, Oliver Falk left the band instead of dismissing the other members and management from his band. As a result, the license for Twilight remained with the remaining members. He had the name “heirs of creation” protected as his trademark. Oliver Falk then signed a contract with Napalm Records with Heirs of Creation, where WeltenBrand had now also found accommodation. The remaining band members formed the band Elis , named after the first single from the album Twilight by Heirs of Creation.
In 2005 a new formation was created around Oliver Falk with singer Dina Falk von WeltenBrand and Rino Vetsch as guitarist. Since August 2007 the band has been working on a new album, which was released on November 20, 2009.
