The following lists the results of the local elections in Paderborn, an East Westphalian city in North Rhine-Westphalia .
City council
The Paderborn City Council currently has 64 seats. In addition, the mayor is the council chairman. In the 2014–2020 electoral period, a CDU / FDP coalition will provide the majority in the city council until 2017. Since the alliance broke up at the end of 2017, there are currently changing majorities in the Paderborn Council. The following table shows the local election results since 1975:

Paderborn was the largest city in Germany from 2009 to mid-2017, and the left was not represented on its city council. On June 2, 2017, the Democratic Initiative Paderborn (DIP) group renamed itself to the left-wing parliamentary group / open list.
